Things to Do Near Sea Breeze

On your doorstep

Sea Breeze sits at the quieter north end of Seven Mile Beach, right next to Cemetery Beach, known for some of the best snorkelling on the beach. Walk straight from the sand into calm, clear water and reef full of tropical fish. Paddleboards, kayaks and other water sports are easy to arrange nearby.

Out on the water

  • Stingray City: wade among the friendly southern stingrays on a sandbar in the North Sound, one of the Caribbean’s most famous experiences.
  • The Kittiwake wreck: a former US Navy ship sunk as an artificial reef off West Bay, close to Sea Breeze. The top lies just 15 feet down, so snorkellers and divers can both explore it with a licensed operator.
  • Diving, fishing and sunset sails: Grand Cayman is one of the world’s great dive destinations, and charters are easy to book.

Island culture

  • Camana Bay: a waterfront town minutes away, with shops, restaurants and the Farmers & Artisans Market on Wednesdays in high season.
  • Hamlin Stephenson Market at the Cricket Grounds in George Town (Monday–Saturday): local produce, Caymanian cooking and crafts.
  • Cayman Islands National Museum in George Town and the Queen Elizabeth II Botanic Park, home to the rare blue iguana.
  • Festivals: Pirates Week every November, the Cayman Islands Marathon in December and the Cayman Arts Festival every February, with jazz, Caribbean and classical music.

Dining near Sea Breeze

  • Kimpton Seafire, our nearest neighbour: Ave for coastal Mediterranean dining overlooking the sea, Coccoloba for tacos and margaritas with your toes in the sand, and Avecita for tapas-style dinners.
  • Alfresco: just as close in the other direction, a relaxed seaside favourite famous for its pizza.
  • Taikun at The Ritz-Carlton: exceptional sushi, with real wasabi grated at your table. One of our favourites.
  • Blue by Eric Ripert at The Ritz-Carlton: the Caribbean’s only Forbes Five-Star restaurant (open seasonally, from November).
  • Bonny Moon Beach Club on Seven Mile Public Beach: a laid-back toes-in-the-sand beach bar that sometimes hosts s’mores nights on the beach at weekends. Kids love it.
  • Legendz, Yoshi Sushi and Eats Café: three favourites under one roof on West Bay Road. Catch live sport on the big screens at Legendz, enjoy excellent sushi at Yoshi, or head to Eats for a classic all-day diner breakfast. We go there all the time.
  • Plus Calypso Grill, Heritage Kitchen and The Brasserie for waterfront, Caymanian and farm-to-table cooking.
