Pirates Week on Grand Cayman: A Guide to Cayman’s Biggest Festival

Every November, the Cayman Islands celebrate their seafaring past with Pirates Week, the islands’ longest-running and best-loved festival. For around ten days, Grand Cayman fills with costumed buccaneers, fireworks, street dances and Caymanian food, music and culture.

Pirates Week 2026 dates

  • Cayman Brac: 30–31 October
  • Grand Cayman: 6–14 November
  • Little Cayman: 20–21 November

This year’s theme is Spirits, Gold and Glory. See the Pirates Week event page for the full programme.

Festival highlights

  • The pirate landing: a mock invasion of George Town harbour by a pirate fleet, one of the most photographed moments of the Cayman year.
  • Night parade and fireworks: illuminated floats, costumes and fireworks over the water. The night parade and song competition return for 2026.
  • District Heritage Days: each district hosts its own day of traditional food, crafts, music and storytelling, a chance to experience Caymanian culture away from the crowds.
  • Street dances and costume contests: lively evenings for all ages.

Staying at Sea Breeze for Pirates Week

Sea Breeze sits at the quieter north end of Seven Mile Beach, a short drive from the festivities in George Town. You can enjoy the parades and fireworks in the evening, then return to a spacious four-bedroom oceanfront condo with its own infinity pool and hot tub. November is also one of the loveliest months to visit, with warm seas, lower humidity and the start of the winter season.

Pirates Week dates fill quickly. Send us an inquiry to check availability.
